On 11 September 2025, the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) is hosting in Bucharest the technical visit of a delegation from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), led by Mr. Carlos Azorín, Head of the Digital IP Infrastructure Service
The visit is taking place in the framework of the OSIM–EUIPO Cooperation Agreement signed on 8 January 2025 and is primarily aimed at assessing OSIM’s progress in implementing European Cooperation Projects and initiatives. These actions are directed towards strengthening bilateral cooperation with EUIPO, as well as deepening collaboration within the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN).
The partnership between OSIM and EUIPO is of strategic importance for Romania, being based on professionalism and shared responsibility. This dynamic cooperation is reflected in constant progress in the areas of digitalization and alignment with European standards, with a strong emphasis on increasing the efficiency of OSIM's activity and providing modern services that ensure fast and secure access to the protection of intellectual property rights, while also improving the user experience.
